This pattern collection contains eight complete patterns of ...

Village Scenes

This collection features picturesque village scenes ...

  1. The Bandstand.  Deckchairs await in the park in readiness for the band concert.  Mostly traced with a fine black drawing pen, the colouring is done on the reverse with blendable pencils.  Use a bold straight grid for the three sections of gridwork or leave the bottom section A without gridwork and use one of the sentiments instead.
  2. The Village Church.  Designs coloured with gold ink or a gold gel pen frame this picture of the village church which has been traced with a fine black drawing pen and coloured on the reverse with blendable pencils.  Although presented as a wedding design, an optional birthday greeting is included. Just leave out the wedding bells when tracing the pattern. If you are looking for more wedding patterns, try our White Wedding pattern pack.
  3. The Old Farm Gate.  Two milk churns await collection beside this old gate.  Traced with a fine black drawing pen and coloured with blendable pencils on the reverse, the design has a simple border made with two rows using the semi-circle tool.
  4. The Windmill.   This pattern features tracing with a black pen, next to some simple whitework.  The border is made with the semi-square tool.

  5. Honey Cottage Mailbox.  Traced with a black drawing pen and coloured with blendable pencils, this design has a border perforated with the moon tool and a simple grid pattern.

  6. In Hornbeam Wood.  The brightest and most colourful in this collection, this Romany caravan is coloured with blendable pencils but to make it even brighter, use felt tip pens directly on the reverse of the parchment.

  7. Country Residence. This little bird has created her own countryside home in an old boot, found at the bottom of a cottage garden. Traced with sepia pen, the boots are coloured on the reverse with overlapping patches of black and orange-brown, to create the mottled look of old leather.

  8. A Walk in the Park. A card for dog-owners, this design features silhouettes. The flowers around the border are coloured directly onto the parchment with felt tip pen. The border is perforated with the semi-square tool and the lace pattern which forms the tree was perforated on a bold diagonal grid.
